Class 1 have been learning about play scripts this half term, particularly focussing on speaking and listening. All the children had the opportunity to write a monologue from the perspective of Romeo or Juliet during the balcony scene. Children at Cockwood have spent time thinking about the sacrifices made by so many at this important time of year. They have produced some lovely work which has been displayed around the village and at school to mark Armistice Day and what this day represents. The whole school has been busy this week learning about many different aspects of parliament. Class 3 have been finding out, what is parliament? Why do we need it? Who is our current Prime Minister?
