We had a wonderful afternoon enjoying our Sports Day on the village green. The children were amazing, as they competed against each other in a huge variety of races and events. Thank you to all of the families who joined us to make the afternoon so enjoyable.

Pupils in Year 6 helped local residents Nigel and Sally Stoneman to decorate the village recently with new flowers. The children chose the flowers and then planted them on the bridge near the village green. They will now water them for the remainder of the term and hope that all local residents will enjoy them.
Class 1 learnt the names of fruit in French by tasting different fruits and making games using fruit names. We learnt to make simple phrases and sentences in French describing foods we like and do not like, extending sentences where we could, adding conjunctions and adjectives we know. The children were excited and amazed by the hands-on experiments of ‘Tectonic Tim’ from FizzPop Science today. He produced giant bubbles and soapsuds towers, before setting fire to the soapsuds; someone had to be very sensible and brave! He finally produced ‘elephant toothpaste’ to the wonder of the children, and explained the science behind it.
