The pupils in Class 3 performed a wonderful assembly linked to their topic of ‘Under the sea’. The art work, drama and reading were amazing so well done to our youngest pupils. The parents, staff and pupils really enjoyed the afternoon.
Gifted and talented pupils across the schools in our learning community wrote the lyrics and music for their own song. The children performed the song to all schools and we hope it will be available to download soon. What a super achievement!

On May 10th Class 3 welcomed a special visitor to their class –Mrs. Wilson. She used her woodland animal puppets, forest songs, and storytelling skills, to provide us with a multi sensory experience. Pupils worked in their houses on World Book Day to create their very own children’s book. Well done to everyone. The final books were brilliant!
The children enjoyed a wonderful session working with the author David Lawrence-Jones. David wowed the children with his tales and demonstrated how to write an exciting story.
On Saturday 27th April Cockwood Choir were invited to sing at the re-opening ceremony of the Dawlish Museum. Despite the chilly breeze, 23 children from Year 2-6 sang a super medley of songs just outside the Museum.
Today Class 1 found out about the weekly Jewish celebration of Shabbat. We pretended to be guests at a Jewish house so we could follow what happens there on a Friday evening every week.
